What this site stores in your browser, what stays off unless you say so, and how to change your choice.

The short version
This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It saves one small note in your browser to remember your cookie choice, and counts visits anonymously without any cookie. You can switch the counting off.
What is stored

Counting visits
Analytics. When a page opens, the site tells its own server which page it was, which site or app sent you (for example Instagram or Google), what kind of device and browser you use, and your timezone. No cookie is set, nothing is saved in your browser, and no outside analytics service is involved.
Your IP address is only used to tell visitors apart within the same day, mixed with a random code that is deleted the next day. It is never stored, so the counts can't be traced back to you.
To switch counting off, choose “Essential only” or turn Analytics off in the cookie settings. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control are never counted.
Other services
- Google Fonts serves the typeface. It sets no cookies, but Google sees your IP address when your browser downloads the font.
- LinkedIn is only a link. LinkedIn's cookies apply once you are on their site, not here.
- The admin area, which only I use, sets a sign-in cookie. Visitors never receive it.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Your browser's settings can also delete or block everything this site stores.
