Off-the-shelf software makes you change your process to fit it. Custom software starts from how your team works: who does what, what gets recorded, and where the current process slows people down.
Typical projects replace spreadsheets and paperwork with one shared system: tracking workers' hours and pay, managing stock and orders in a warehouse, approving requests, or syncing data between tools that don't talk to each other. You own the code, and it can run on your own server.

Understand
We talk through the idea, who it is for and what it has to do. You get a written scope and a price before anything is built.
Plan and design
I work out how it fits together, from the data model to the screens, and sketch the interface before writing code. The big decisions get made here, while they are still cheap to change.
Build
I build it in the open: you get a link to a working preview and see it grow week by week, so the finished product is one you have already clicked through.
Launch and support
Deployment, handover and documentation for the parts you will touch. Afterwards I stay available for fixes and the next phase.
